"abstract drawing" project
In this project, I'll have students use stencil as a way to compose an abstract drawing.
At the very first step, we'll need to make 3 stencils of different shapes cut out from a cardboard.
Students should think of the meanings and origins of the specific images they choose.
Then, trace the shapes of stencils, create patterns and lines, build up the work, and make their own stories. The unity of the total artwork should be emphasized. Also, make sure that they flip the stencils to make different shapes.
Artist tape for protecting the edges of the drawing.
Fill out the shapes with color pencils. Have students think of the characters and personalities of varied colors. Make sure to use dark and light shading to enhance the rich color.
well, it's a project for my "creative art club."
kinda don't know what im doing...
